Drowning in Diapers

We received these Pampers Pure complimentary for testing purposes (thank you Influenster!). We already use Pampers Swaddlers on occasion, and they were our favorite style of the Pampers brand for a long time — but not our favorite diapers across all brands.

These Pure Protection diapers are on par with the swaddlers, even possibly superior. We gave them the ultimate test in our household: overnight use. Our daughter wears her overnight diaper 11-12 hours; she dream nurses at least 3 times per night, and leakage is a big issue for us. She also likes to poop the minute she wakes up before I can swap out the saturated diaper, so morning blowouts are common here.

Pampers Swaddlers do not keep her as dry as other brands; they often felt damp to the touch on the outside. I would say these Pampers Pure were up to the challenge! There was no leakage, and we came very close to a blowout but the Pure Protection diapers contained the mess.

Pampers Pure Protection diapers are fragrance free, and have a wetness indicator which other brands remove after a certain size much to my dismay. They are great diapers, but they aren’t my favorite, as there is some room for improvement:

  • The outside of the diaper isn’t as soft as other brands (specifically, Honest company)
  • I prefer the cinch style waist like Honest Company or Huggies Lil Snugglers, I feel it gives us a better fit and more protection.

Without the cinching of the waist in the back, it feels more prone to leakage. If Pampers adopted the pocketed back waistband style of Huggies Lil Snugglers, they’d be a 5 star product.

What are your favorite diapers?

Welcome!

My name is Rachel Sopp and I am Diary of a Keto Mommy

If you’ve read this far, I’m already impressed! I started this blog mainly for myself and for my Influenster profile. If you have found me and enjoy my content, that’s a bonus!

This will likely end up a brain dump for all things that interest me including, but not limited to

  • Baby stuff! Especially free or discounted baby stuff. Who doesn’t love a good deal?!
  • Food. I LOVE food. I don’t eat to live, I live to eat.
  • Makeup. I dream of being talented. I know I’m an amateur but I want to learn!
  • Fashion. Looking good makes me feel good!

Why “Diary of a Keto Mommy”? Because I owe a lot of who I am today to keto. I was writing a #transformationTuesday post about all the wonderful NSVs (non scale victories) I’ve gained with keto, and it made me realize how much I have grown in the last two years. I have really learned to love myself, and am working on appreciating my body where it is, and appreciating where I am in life, period. It felt right to honor what brought me here.

Some quick notes about me:

  • I’m a full time working mom
  • I have two kids, a boy (almost 4) and a girl (6 months)
  • The love of my life joined me on my keto journey, and I could not be prouder of him
  • I like to think I’m real. I’m a hot mess sometimes and I hope you all appreciate this.

This page will likely evolve as it grows. Today, I’m creating it because I need to review some diapers for Influenster. See? Full disclosure here. I love free shit so I’m willing to put in extra work to get it!

Consider this my “crappy first draft”. I welcome all comments and feedback. I’m just a normie, writing on the internet, with no real direction. I appreciate any connections I can make.

If you want to talk about mom life, I’m your girl! This blog will encompass all I’ve experience with travel, food, mom life, baby stuff, fashion, makeup, and everything in between.

If you made it this far, I already love you! Now, here are some baby pics because #momlife
